Why people seek relationship counselling

Couples come for a number of reasons: to address unresolved anger; an impending split; one or both partners may have had an affair; sexual problems; children or work may have put strain on the relationship; or sometimes things have just gone stale.  The process of counselling enables you to identify the source of your problem and work towards resolving it. You will also learn about tools for more effective communication and for resolving conflict.

You make an appointment for an initial assessment session.  This gives us the chance to explore the issue, to confirm that we can work together and that you can benefit from counselling.  If we decide to have further sessions I ask you to sign our agreement for counselling.

We have regular follow-up sessions to work on your relationship issues.  Sessions are normally spaced one week apart and last for one hour.

We review progress regularly to keep you on track and ensure that you are getting the most from the counselling.  If at any time I believe you would benefit by seeing another specialist I will say so.

How the relationship counselling sessions work

Charges to apply to initial assessment and all subsequent sessions.  The fee per session is £70 for a one hour session.  Weekend, early morning and evening appointments (before 9am or after 6pm) are £80.

Payment is due at the time of your session by cash or cheque.

Fees may be reviewed from time to time but I will always give you notice.
