Couples come for a number of reasons: to address unresolved anger; an impending split; one or both partners may have had an affair; sexual problems; children or work may have put strain on the relationship; or sometimes things have just gone stale. The process of counselling enables you to identify the source of your problem and work towards resolving it.
After the initial ‘honeymoon’ stage of a relationship when you think everything about your partner is perfect, real life takes hold and the going can get tough. We explore your past, the present and we look to the future and the kind of relationship that you would both like to build.
Every couple needs to know how to have difficult conversations. One of the aims of the counselling is that you finish with a newly acquired ‘toolkit’ of tips and techniques which build positive communication, as well as a deeper understanding of your relationship.
Each one hour session costs £80. I also offer two-hour sessions if the circumstances are appropriate. Concessions for clients on low incomes are available. Payment is due at the time of your session by cash or cheque.
